Our Smile Specialist Centre was judged to be number one in the UK for providing a Quality Service to Patients ! |
| Our Dental Practice came No.1 in the UK for providing a quality service to patients. This thorough assessment was undertaken by the British Dental Journal, Colgate and Denplan external quality assessors in1996. This AWARD is called the Quality Development Award (QDA), given in recognition of our commitment to providing a quality service to patients. We were of course delighted to initially be short-listed in the top five practices from all over the UK. Our whole team went down to the British Dental Association Headquarters on Wimpole St, London for the final judging and award ceremonies. The suspense was enormous and was done in true "Hollywood Oscar's" style. When they announced that our Haworth Dental Practice (now the Smile Specialist Centre) as overall UK winners, we were truly delighted. This award just goes to show that you don't have to be on Harley Street to receive quality patient services. Haworth will do very nicely too. Indeed, a high proportion of the patients we now treat travel many miles to see us for our Expert Care, some even coming from outside the UK! Whether near or far, you will always be give our best !!! | So what has been happening since, do we rest on our fine award? Certainly not!! Since then we have been busy looking at how we can keep up to all the latest technologies and materials that are constantly being made available, especially from the USA. Indeed Dr. Kilcoyne has been invited to and visited the Dental School at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. This Dental School is at the forefront of research, even for the USA.
